This directory includes elementary schools (and some middle and high schools) that teach all or part of their curriculum through a second language (referred to as total or partial immersion programs). The majority of these programs are for students whose native language is English and who are developing proficiency in a second language. A few sample 'two-way' immersion programs, where classes include both native English and Spanish speakers learning both languages, are also included.
